Most convenient bank
First Bank of Vail was first on the scene, opening its doors in 1968. First Bank of Avon followed, and shares its birthday with Beaver Creek. The newest addition to the Colorado-centric bank is in Eagle. “Really and truly, I think we’re so popular because of the focus we have on customers,” says Kevin Armitage, vice president of First Bank of Avon. “Obviously our staff is all locals themselves, and like to be treated that way.”
With locations in Vail, Avon, Edwards, Eagle and Gypsum, WestStar Bank is easy to find. Besides being a nationwide chain with strong local representation, Wells Fargo has nine museums dedicated to showcasing the bank’s role in America’s growth. Stagecoaches, working telegraphs, gold coins and old bank documents are on display.
