Motorcyclist killed in crash that closed Interstate 70 at Eagle for hours late Monday
A motorcyclist died Monday night in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 at Eagle.
Emergency crews responded to the crash in the westbound lanes of the highway at about 9:30 p.m., according to the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and an unknown number of occupants from other vehicles involved in the crash were transported to the hospital. The name of the deceased has not been released.
The westbound lanes of I-70 were closed until about 2:45 a.m. Tuesday. Traffic was detoured onto U.S. Highway 6 during the closure.
