Touting this tour as “The Beavis and Butthead of World Music,” multi-instrumentalist David Lindley and ace drummer Wally Ingram play at Kaltenberg Castle in Lionshead tonight at 8.

It’s a spring break reggae dance party. Promoters promise a decadent evening of “boards, broads and beer” at the Bavarian brewhouse. Lindley and Ingram are both known for their many years of touring with Jackson Browne. A typical Lindley-Ingram performance combines American folk, blues and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy and Turkish musical sources.

Lindley doesn’t leave home without a varied array of stringed instruments including but not limited to Kona and Weissenborn Hawaiian lap steel guitar, Turkish saz and chumbus, Middle Eastern oud and Irish bouzouki – not to mention a demented sense of humor.

But don’t think Ingram is just along for the ride. The duo is also known as “Mr. Dave meets the Wally Llama” and “Twango Bango Deluxe.” Tickets are $20. For more info on the show, call the Kaltenberg at 479-1050.
