MS fund-raiser aims for ski hill records
EAGLE COUNTY – The Vertical Express for MS, a fund-raiser for locally based multiple sclerosis programs, comes to Vail and Beaver Creek mountains Feb. 12.
Proceeds benefit the Edwards-based Heuga Center’s educational and wellness programs for people with multiple sclerosis. Skiers, snowboarders and telemarkers who participate will be trying to set two world records: for the most participants in an on-snow fund-raising event and for the most vertical feet skied in a day.The latter takes place on Vail Mountain and requires a $250 donation to participate.
Participants in the Vertical Express can contribute to an existing team’s fund-raising, participate as an individual or create their own team. Participants also can show up at Vail or Beaver Creek on Feb. 12 to register.Vail, Colorado
