Tom Kann, of Mesa, Arizona, an avid mycologist who has been a summer resident and visitor of Vail for the past several decades came upon another âonce in a lifetimeâ King Boletus. Even though this season has been a wet one for us mycologists, we sometimes, although rarely, come across a one like this. It was pure! My wife, Micki, and I were foraging at Vail Summit today and found this beauty!
