The free, 12-day concert and street fair will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. starting Feb. 3-14. Avon’s newly unveiled Main Street Mall will once again be the site for live music, craft brews, cocktails, food and performance art. The inaugural Apres Avon event was held Dec. 5 and featured bluegrass sensation Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth with the Grant Farm.
Apres Avon will include 2015 official mascots and cheerleaders, ski racing athlete signings, including a visit by Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, distribution of the coveted World Championship pins and other American-rooted performance art activities yet to be announced. Apres Avon will serve as a gathering spot for race spectators prior to the nightly awards ceremonies in Vail.
