AVON — The town of Avon announced the final musical lineup for Apres Avon, a series of events taking place each day after the races of the FIS 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. The free, 12-day concert and street fair will be held from 2 to 5:30 p.m. starting Feb. 3-14, 2015. Avon’s newly unveiled Main Street Mall will once again be the site for live music, craft brews, cocktails, food and performance art. The inaugural Apres Avon event was held Dec. 5 and featured bluegrass sensation Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth with the Grant Farm.

Apres Avon will include 2015 official mascots and cheerleaders, ski racing athlete signings, including a visit by Olympic gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, distribution of the coveted Alpine World Ski Championship pins and other American-rooted performance art activities yet to be announced. Apres Avon will serve as a gathering spot for race spectators prior to the nightly awards ceremonies in Vail.

Bonfire Entertainment, the producers of Apres Avon, have finalized the musical lineup of bands, which will showcase an eclectic mix of musical styles to keep the crowds moving. The audience will be treated to the soul rock of Nicki Bluhm performing with The Mother Hips, reggae from Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, sonic funk by The Motet and the ever-popular all-female AC/DC tribute band, Hell’s Belles.
