Natalie Gamble, 1926-2008

BOULDER, Colorado ” Natalie Bering Gamble, of Boulder, died Aug. 31, at The Academy at Bella Vista in Boulder. She was 81.
Natalie was born on Sept. 9, 1926, in Decatur, Ill., to Wilson Bering Jr. and Jane Conklin. She grew up in Decatur and helped in the foundry business in later stages, eventually executing the sale of the company.
In the past number of years she has shared time between her homes in Vail, Tucson, Ariz., and Grosse Pointe, Mich. Until recently, she was still an active skier on expert slopes and a competitive golfer. Her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren and their sports activities.
Preceding her in death is a sister, Elizabeth Brown.
Surviving are her son, Bruce Gamble and his wife Becky, of Boulder, and two grandchildren, Beau and Berkley Gamble.
Services were held on Tuesday.
