Neva Y. Patsner passed away Saturday

Neva Yvonne Trujillo Patsner, 56, of Monmouth Beach, N.J. and Beaver Creek, Colorado, peacefully went to her God on Saturday after a long and courageous battle with multiple sclerosis.
Neva is survived by her husband, Bruce, a professor at the University of Houston Law Center and Baylor College of Medicine in Houston; her son Cory, a banker in New York City; her mother, Norman Barr Trujillo; an brothers Greg and Terri, of Louisville, Ky. Neva’s father, Ernest Trujillo, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Patsner was born in Shreveport, La., and raised in Louisville, Ky. She held a nursing degree from Spalding College as well as an MBA. Dr. and Mrs. Patsner moved to New Jersey in 1990 and together established one of the premier private practices in the United States, taking care of women with gynecologic cancer. Mrs. Patsner retired in 1999 for medical reasons but continued to be active in charitable and philanthropic work.
Mrs. Patsner was, and will always be, admired for her warm and generous heart, her great beauty, shining personality and wonderful sense of humor, but most of all for her determination and strength in the face of great medical adversity. Neva was an inspiration to all who knew her and leaves cherished memories and broken hearts.
Graveside services will be today at 10 a.m. at Congregation B’nai Israel Cemetery Riverdale Avenue in Tinton Falls, N.J. Shiva will be observed for three days at the family home in Monmouth Beach. Shalom be unto her name.
