New boat launch proposed at Radium
Vail, CO Colorado
KREMMLING, Colorado – The Bureau of Land Management is seeking public comment on its proposal to construct a new boat launch at the popular Radium Recreation Site on the upper Colorado River.
This new boat launch would be in addition to the single existing boat launch currently at Radium.-
About 60,000 people float the stretch of the upper Colorado River between Pumphouse and Radium each year.
If approved, construction is anticipated to begin in June.
Before the Bureau of Land Management writes an environmental assessment of the proposal, it wants to hear any issues, concerns or comments from the public. A copy of the proposal, including a map, is available at http://www.blm.gov/CO/KFO. Comments will be accepted through April 19.
