No details given on alleged hoax
Moore originally said two men, one of whom was armed, abducted him from his home Thursday night. Police arrested Moore for investigation of aggravated robbery, false imprisonment, menacing with a deadly weapon, theft, false reporting to authorities and domestic violence. Police are now looking for the other two men and won’t divulge any more details until those arrests are made, Vail Detective Sgt. Susan Douglas said Tuesday. “We’re holding information until the other two people are in custody,” Douglas said. Though the kidnapping is an alleged hoax, the details of the abduction police released Friday are accurate, Douglas said. The two men, one of whom had a gun, forced their way into the home when Moore answered the door. Moore left with the men in his own car. His wife then called police, and was later taken to a safehouse.Police found Moore, 35, at a friend’s house in Avon Saturday afternoon and arrested him after questioning. Moore was previously arrested in Vail on suspicion of assault and battery and domestic violence, Douglas said. Moore is being held at the Eagle County jail on $25,000 bond, she added. Vail, Colorado
