No new application seen for Wolf Creek ski village
DURANGO, Colorado ” Developers of a proposed ski village near the Wolf Creek resort haven’t submitted a revised application to federal officials, so the U.S. Forest Service has disbanded the team it assembled to review the project.
An official with one of the development partners said Thursday the project isn’t dead, and they still hope to announce a new plan.
The project is on private land but needs Forest Service approval because some access would be across national forest property.
The original plan included housing for up to 10,500 people. It was derailed last year when the Forest Service agreed to redo an environmental impact statement that opponents said was flawed.
