No sign of Ohio hiker missing in Colorado

DURANGO, Colorado – Rescuers are still looking for an Ohio hiker missing since Tuesday in a Colorado wilderness area.

Twenty-one-year-old Joshua Gulvas went missing Tuesday while hiking with his father in the Weminuche Wilderness north of Durango in southwest Colorado. The Otterbein College student was separated from his father and didn’t meet up at a lake where the two were supposed to meet Tuesday evening.

Rescue officials in La Plata County say Gulvas is in good shape and has a sleeping bag and tent with him. But searchers found no sign of him Thursday, and weather conditions included rain and sleet. About 10 people are now helping with the search, including friends from Ohio who came to help.
