Associated PRess

LIVERMORE, Colorado – A wildfire that prompted the evacuation of dozens of homes in northern Colorado is about 10 percent contained after it spread across 150 to 200 acres.

Authorities said Thursday that 70 firefighters and 10 engines were at the scene. They expect the fire to be at least 70 percent contained by Thursday night.

Authorities say the fire started Wednesday when high winds scattered sparks from a blown electrical transformer.

Authorities haven’t said how many people were evacuated but say the number of homes was in the dozens. Some have been allowed to return.

No injuries have been reported and no structures have burned.
