Northglenn motorcycle officer injured in hit-run

NORTHGLENN, Colorado – Northglenn police say one of their motorcycle officers was struck and injured by a truck that ran a red light and then left the scene.

The officer was taken to a hospital after the collision Thursday, but there was no information on his condition. His name wasn’t released.

Police say the officer was one of three on motorcycles who were on their way to patrol Interstate 25 in the north Denver suburb. They say one of other officers pursued the truck and apprehended the driver.

Neither of the other two officers was hurt.
