Obama office opens in Glenwood

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colorado ” Barack Obama’s presidential campaign will open an office in Glenwood Springs Friday to reach out to Garfield County voters.
The new office will be located next to the Garfield County Democratic Party’s new headquarters, which also opens Friday.
Both offices are at 716 Sixth St. in downtown Glenwood, near the Hotel Colorado.
There will be a grand opening celebration for both offices, starting at 6 p.m. Friday. The event will give the public a chance to meet Democratic candidates who are running for local offices and take in live music. Expected to perform are: Dustin Micheli, Don and April Paine, Don Kauffman and The Last Minute String Band.
“We are thrilled to open our largest campaign headquarters in county history,” said Ed Sands, chairman of the Garfield County Democratic Party.
The Obama campaign office in Glenwood Springs will bring the campaign’s total number of Colorado offices to 16.
