GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado –President Barack Obama will be in Grand Junction Saturday ‹ his second visit to the Grand Valley within a year.

Obama is scheduled to host a town hall meeting at 4:15 p.m. at Central High School in the Warrior Gymnasium, the White House said. The meeting is expected last until 5:30 p.m.

Members of the public who wish to attend the meeting need to register for the opportunity at http://www.whitehouse.gov/advance/ColoradoTownHall8-15-09. The online sign-up expires at noon Thursday.

Folk without Internet access wishing to register may leave a voicemail message at 254-6139. This phone line will be available today only from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Because of limited space only a certain number of requests for tickets will be granted. Names will be randomly chosen with folks being notified by telephone.

The president is expected to discuss health insurance reform at the town hall meeting.

After his stop in Grand Junction, the president and his family plan to visit the Grand Canyon and Phoenix, Ariz.

Obama visited Grand Junction September 2008 during a campaign stop at Cross Orchards.
