Daily Staff Report
A. Bruce Chatterton

A. Bruce Chatterton died May 6 at the Glen Valley Care Center in Glenwood Springs. He was 68.

He was born on Jan. 22, 1938, in New York City to Allen and Eleanor (Tepel) Chatterton.

He married Jeannie E. Kenny in Beaufield, N.J., in 1964. They have been residents of the Vail Valley area for the past 13 years, residing in Edwards.

Chatterton worked in the advertising sales field.

He served in the U.S. Army 50th Division National Guard and was a volunteer at the Beaver Creek Community Guest Services. Bruce was able to retire early so that he could relocate to the mountains to ski.

Foreign cars were a love of his and his family was his true passion. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him, family members say.

He is survived by his wife; sons Adam Brian Chatterton of New Jersey, and Alan Brent Chatterton, of Colorado; Jack and Jane Kenny, brother-in-law and sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Shaw Regional Cancer Center, Mountain Hospice or Roaring Fork Hospice.

A service will be held at a later date. Cremation has already taken place.
