Angela Rae Creason, McCoy resident, dies at 42

MCCOY – Angela (Walter) Creason, 42, of McCoy, died Saturday, at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheatridge after suffering a short illness.Creason was born on June 3, 1962, and grew up in Golden. She married Owen Creason on Aug. 29, 1981. They moved to Bond, then to Dotsero for a short time, until she moved to her ranch in McCoy.

Creason will be remembered by her friends and family as a loving, giving person. Family and friends said she was known for sending greeting cards with cute stickers on the envelopes. She loved to bake homemade bread and was also known for her love of animals, especially cats, friends and family members said. She raised chickens and ducks, and took pride in her vegetable garden, sharing the produce with the community, friends and family members said.

While living in Dotsero, Creason was a manager at McDonald’s in Glenwood Springs. Her favorite meal was always a quarter-pounder, with cheese, friends and family members said. Most recently, Creason was a relief postal clerk in the Toponas, Bond, McCoy and Burns Post Offices.

She is survived by her husband, Owen Creason; parents, Jim and Jodie Walter of Golden; sisters, Linda Osiecki and Christie Phenicie; brothers, Dan, Bob and Joe Walter; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial Services will be held Saturday at Eagle Valley Evangelical Free church, at 700 Chambers Ave., Eagle, at 1 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Eagle Valley Humane Society, P.
