Carolyn Walker, longtime Vail visitor

Special to the Daily
Vail, CO Colorado
obituaries@vaildaily.com

Carolyn Walker died Monday after a long illness. Carolyn was a regular Vail visitor from the late ’60s to the late ’90s.

As Packy Walker’s mom, Carolyn felt responsible for the scourge she had inadvertently placed on the happy valley, and she asked for forgiveness.

“Mother Packy,” not to be confused with Mother Theresa, won the hearts of the Vail locals. She so enjoyed the love and camaraderie that was shown her by all who knew her. This affection made her feel 25 years younger.

Her family wishes to thank the community so much for the fun, friendship and love.

Carolyn is survived by Jim and Molly Walker, Doug (Packy) Walker, Lynne Walker, grandson Andy and his wife, Miki, and great-grandson Will.
