Colin Morgan, formerly of Red Cliff, has died

Colin R. Morgan died on Feb. 8, 2006, in Atlanta, Ga., of a heart attack. He was 44.

Morgan was born in Kremmling, Colo., during a heavy snowstorm, and spent his youth in Red Cliff. He was a member of the Vail Juniors ski team, and was an avid hiker and outdoorsman, family members say.

Morgan followed his family to San Francisco in 1981 where he earned a degree in computer science. He was computer programmer in San Francisco until 1995, when he moved to Atlanta where was a consultant with Time Warner until his death.

Morgan hobbies included reading, painting and writing, and his passion was martial arts in which he attained many black belts, family members say.

Colin is survived by his mother, brother and sister. A memorial will be held either in Red Cliff or along the Homestake River on Sunday.
