Daniel Alexander, 1952-2007, worked in Avon
Daniel Edward Alexander passed away Dec. 17, five weeks after being diagnosed with lung cancer, which metastasized to his brain. He was 55 years young and energetic up until his last month.
Dan was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Seattle, Wash. In the early ’70s, after serving three years in the Army and two years of college, Dan started his family and his career.
His wonderful, outgoing “zest for life” personality, along with a strong knowledge of business, led him to his general management positions for Sam’s Club. His career allowed him to live in many beautiful states: Washington, California, Utah, Arizona, and Colorado.
Dan always enjoyed the outdoors ” golfing, skiing, and gardening ” but his passion has always been his work. His last job as store manager for the Avon Starbucks was his favorite of all. He loved and enjoyed the whole crew and always made a point to say “I have never been happier.”
Dan’s love for being around people and making them laugh will always be remembered ” and you can’t forget that big beautiful smile.
He is survived by his parents, Alban and Eunice Jones; sister Judi Hamilton, of Lake Chelan Wash.; son and daughter-in-law Ryan and Nicole Alexander; and daughter Marissa Alexander, of Renton, Wash.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Bob’s Place in Avon on Jan. 26, beginning at 4 p.m. This will be an informal, open house gathering. Please join his children to share stories and fond memories.
Those who are unable to attend and wish to share, may mail memories/stories to: P.O. Box 423, Ephrata, WA 98823.
