Dianne Jenkins, 58, of Gypsum dies
Dianne Louise Jenkins died Saturday at her home in Gypsum after a battle with cancer. She was 58. Jenkins was born June 26, 1946 in Boston. Friends and family members said Jenkins loved to grow flowers and veggies, and regularly kept flower boxes and gardens. They said she also loved to cook and listen to music. She had a strong affection for animals and made comfortable homes for her pets, friends and family members said. She loved to travel with her husband, Matt, particularly to Hawaii, where they were married May 15, 2003, friends and family members said.Along with her husband, Jenkins is survived by her parents, Lennie and Louise Wenant; her brother and sisters, Dana, Jean, Jan and Christine; daughters Julie and Becky; and granddaughters Emily and Megan.A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m., Saturday at the Rose Bowl overlook deck just below the Spruce Saddle restaurant on Beaver Creek Mountain. Casual, comfortable attire is recommended. Free parking is available at Village Hall.
