Edna Marie Sinclair, 1924-2005
Edna Marie Sinclair, 81, of Gypsum died Nov. 21. She had suffered from Alzheimer’s and a painful form of shingles disease for the past several years.
She was born July 18, 1924 in Topeka, Kan., the youngest of five children of Clarence and Lucy Jones. She was raised in Manhattan, Kan.
She married Ward M. Miller on Aug. 7, 1944 in Wichita, Kan. They were wed for 27 years, and raised two children.
She married Leonard Sinclair in Pleasanton, Calif. on Aug. 31, 1973. Following Leonard’s retirement from the Navy, the couple moved to Gypsum in 1977 to open a flight school and aviation repair business.
Marie is survived by her husband, Leonard of Gypsum; daughter Mary Navarro of Hawaii; and son Mike Miller of Sarasota, Fla. Survivors also include three grandchildren, Malie Miller of Sarasota, Fla., Kelly Troyna of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Damon Marcellino of Los Angles.
Following cremation, a memorial service was held Nov. 28 at the Gypsum Methodist Church.
