Glenn Borton, part-time resident, died Tuesday

Glenn E. Borton died suddenly in Eagle-Vail on Monday. He was 80.

After a 40-year career at Chicago Pneumatic Tool Company, he spent his semi-retirement working for Vail Associates and engaging in many hobbies.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy; his children, Linda (Ed Sobon), Cindy (George) Zagoudis and Glenn E. “John” Borton Jr. (Paula); and grandchildren Jeff and Robby Zagoudis and Ryan and Marlo Borton.

Burial in Philadelphia will be private. Memorial services will be scheduled at the First United Methodist Church of Palatine at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 769, Hillside, IL 60162, the First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 123 N. Plum Grove Rd., Palatine, IL 60067, or the charity of your choice.
