SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. ” Janice A. Reynolds, died Sunday at home with her family after an extended battle with a very aggressive form of leukemia. She was 48.

Janice was the wife of Louis R. Reynolds and the mother of Ryan A Reynolds, of Breckenridge, where they had lived since 1996.

Reynolds was born in Fall River, Mass, the daughter of Raoul and Constance (Audet) Arcouette of Tiverton, R.I. She graduated from Tiverton High School and the University of Rhode Island. For many years she was employed as a dental hygienist in the Providence area.

Reynolds was a very fit and active outdoor enthusiast, and an avid gardener, friends and family members say.

Over the last several years she and her husband split their time between Breckenridge and Scottsdale, where they had a second home at Desert Mountain.

Reynolds was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge.

While a patient at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, she and her husband became active parishioners and close friends with Father Ivan Dawson, pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus in Seattle. Dawson has agreed to say the funeral Mass for Janice.

Reynolds has three brothers: Gerald Arcouette of Little Compton, R.I., Steven Arcouette of North Dighton, Mass., and Robert Arcouette of Portsmouth, R.I. She is also survived by an uncle, cousins and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River, Mass.

A funeral mass of Christian burial will be conducted at St. Anne’s Church on South Main Street in Fall River, on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Interment immediately following at the Pocasset Cemetery in Tiverton, R.I.
