Jimmy Reid, Vail resident, dies

VAIL, Colorado ” James “Jimmy” Reid, 49, of Vail, Colorado died Nov. 23.

Reid is survived by his wife, Tena Reid of Vail; two daughters, Johsie of Vail and Nikki of Marion Kan.; his mother Neva Robinson of Florence, Kan.; three brothers, Paul Riley Reid of Florence, Kan., Tom Reid of Marion, Kan., and Kevin Reid of Mazie, Kan.; one sister, Kristin Parrino of Dallas; and two grandchildren, Damien Michael and Reid James. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Reid.

He was a mechanic at West Vail Shell. He later worked for Vail Resorts. He was a good friend to many in Vail and was especially proud of his grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Vail Valley Charitable Fund, P.O. Box 1275, Avon, CO 81620. Write “James Reid” in the check’s memo.

Services will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Vail Interfaith Chapel at 19 Vail Road in Vail. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery in Marion, Kan.
