Juanita Pena, formerly of Minturn, has died

Juanita Pena, 80, a former resident of Minturn, passed away Monday in New Mexico, her home for the last 24 years.

She is remembered for her kindness and love for all.

Juanita is survived by her husband, Manuel Pena of La Madera, N.M.; sister Nesorita Montoya of La Madera; and children Tito Pena of Minturn, George Pena (Belinda Pena) of Minturn, Steve Pena (Charlene Pena) of Minturn, Eppie Ruiz (Roy Ruiz) of Albuquerque, N.M., Isadore Pena (Dorthy Pena) of Orville, Calif., and Isabell Pena of Albuquerque, NM.

She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by parents Joe and Nestorita Martinez; siblings Joe B. Martinez, Jimmy Martinez and Elvira Montoya; son Richard Pena; daughter Nestorita Vargas; and grandchildren Robert Pena and George Pena Jr.

Rosary will be at 7 p.m., today, and burial at 9 a.m., Wednesday in La Madera, N.M.

She will be missed dearly by all.
