Judith A. Ganter, 71, passed away on June 5 of cancer.

Born in Michigan and a graduate of the University of Michigan, Judy lived in Boulder from 1968 to 1984 and was active in Boulder County and Colorado gubernatorial politics. From 1984 to the present, Judy lived in Vail where she worked for Vail Resorts for more than 30 years in the Vail children’s ski school program.

She is survived by her partner, Mary; sons Todd (Lynn) and Wesley (Susan); granddaughters Ella and Ava; and sister Donna (Gerald) McNew and their children, Leslie and Bradley.

Judy’s celebration of life reception is scheduled for the top of the Eagle Bahn gondola in Lionshead at 2 p.m. on June 25 (allow 30 minutes for the gondola ride and seating). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Greenwood Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (www.greenwoodwildlife.org) or American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org).
