Memorial services planned for Dave Rovelstad
Memorial services were held Feb. 11 at the United Lutheran Church of Grand Forks, N.D,. the same church where he as baptized and confirmed.
A Vail memorial service is being organized at a date and location to be announced.
Rovelstad owned Avon’s Bachelor Wine and Spirits and had lived in Eagle County for 23 years. He enjoyed hunting, fly-fishing and hiking with Daisy, his black Labrador retriever. He also loved skiing, snowshoeing, golf, music and cooking with his many friends.
He was born April 11, 1952, in Grand Forks, N.D., where he attended Red River High School, graduating in 1970. He later spent three years at the University of North Dakota at Grand Forks.
He is survived by: his parents, Homer and Phyllis; his sister, Susan Rovelstad; nephews James and Darren Douglas, Candice Palmer, Phillip David and his fiancee, Susan Eastman; his uncle Rover; aunts Lenore and Violet Stenehjem; and many cousins.
