Obituary: Raymond (Buzz) Finn

Raymond (Buzz) John Finn Jr. was born on July 18, 1934, in Harlan, Iowa, to Raymond John and Elva (Christiansen) Finn. Most recently of Edwards, Colorado, he passed away in Littleton, Colorado, on April 28, 2025, at the age of 90.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hryckowian; children Deborah (Richard) Kuhn of Littleton, CO; Mimi Finn (Dan Kibler) of Lakewood, CO; Raymond J. Finn III of Hastings, MI; and David Hryckowian (Amanda) of Edwards, CO; as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Janet (Miltner) Finn (married June 28, 1958); his parents; sisters Miriam (Richard) Magee and Patricia (James) Simonsen; and daughter-in-law, Robin.
A graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and a U.S. Air Force veteran, Raymond practiced oral surgery in eastern Iowa. He was a member of the Iowa Dental Association, the I-Hawks Gold Club, and the University of Iowa Quarterback Club. In retirement, he volunteered with the Vilar Performing Arts Center and Beaver Creek Ski Area.
A lifelong outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, biking, and travel.
There will be a celebration of life this Fall, 2025 at the Alpine Club.
