March 19, 1986 – September 16, 2025
Scott William Sperry departed this earthly life to be with the Lord on Sept. 16, 2025 in Steamboat Springs, CO., where he had resided for many years. He leaves behind his greatest joys, his children, Stella and Emerson, and their mother, Lauren Patton.
Scott was born March 19, 1986 in Colorado Springs, CO. to Kim and Woody Sperry. He graduated from San Diego Golf Academy and worked as an assistant professional at Haymaker Golf Course in Steamboat Springs and Querencia Golf Club in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
While living in Vail and Steamboat Springs, Scott became accustomed to adventure whether it be on the ski slopes, on a dirt bike or snowmobile, or simply enjoying the beautiful outdoors hiking and fishing with his kids.
His career paths took many different paths including running a successful car service in and out of Steamboat Springs; working in fire mitigation; and operating as a ranch hand at The Wild Horse Refuge, a private non-profit sanctuary for rescued mustangs.
Scott will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin and friend. His larger-than-life heart was reflected in the unconditional love he gave to those around him. He will be dearly missed by his parents, his children, his brother, Chad, sister-in-law, Jenev, and new nephew, Torin, and many family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be on held Friday, October 17 at 1 p.m. at Broadmoor Community Church, 315 Lake Ave, Colorado Springs, CO. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, scholarship contributions may be made to Kimberley Sperry for the benefit of Stella and Emerson Sperry and mailed to any Alpine Bank branch in Colorado.
Scott never missed a beautiful sunset, so when you see one, please think of him.
