Robert M. "Jack’ Howe Sr., 1913-2003

Robert M. “Jack” Howe, Sr. passed away June 22.

Born June 30, 1913, to Frank and Ethel Howe in Lake Charles, La., Howe was a graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in electrical engineering and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He worked for Mobil Oil in Beaumont for over 40 years.

Survivors include: his children Robert M. Howe Jr. and wife, Aubyn, of Edwards, Bonnie Howe Chandler and husband, Jack, of Houston and Randall F. Howe and wife, Anita, of California; grandchildren Scott and wife, Laura, Chris, Trey and wife, Amy, Carol, Rob and wife, Jeannie, Ginny and husband, Eric, Lisa and Shelly; and great-grandchildren Cameron, Jillian, Brandon and Niland.

His wife of 50 years, Virginia MacVeigh Howe, and sister Dorothy Gilliland predeceased him in death.

Services were held June 24 in Beaumont, Texas, under the direction of Kelley-Watkins Funeral Home. The pallbearers were Scott Howe, Chris Howe, Trey Chandler, Rob Chandler, Eric Haase and Jim Chandler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church, 701 Calder, Beaumont, TX, 77701, a hospice or a charity of your choice.
