Vail Daily column: Lee Chong Hurley, 1947-2015

Our dear friend Miss Lee Hurley, of Vail, went to her Father in heaven on Wednesday.

Born in Korea, Lee came to America and was left to a New York orphanage around the age of 5, where she was eventually adopted by a New York fashion designer.

Lee arrived in the Vail Valley as an adult with plans to start a new life, and operated her own house-cleaning business for over 20 years, until rheumatoid arthritis kept her from working.

Lee was a very strong and independent person, but generous and caring to those who knew her closely. As was her great desire, Lee passed here in the mountains of the Vail Valley she loved so dearly.

Lee is survived by her friends who loved her very much. For memorial information, please contact Pastor Ethan Moore, of Trinity Church, at pastorethantrinity@gmail.com.
