Vail Daily column: Ronald ‘Ron’ David Caster, 1962-2016
Ronald “Ron” David Caster, of Boca Raton, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on April 2. He was an extraordinarily talented interior designer. Not only did he complete at least 27 homes in the Boca Raton area, he traveled up the East Coast and to Europe working on his many projects.
He was described by his clients, friends and piers as a “natural,” a designing “genius” and a guy with a “larger than life” personality. He was local celebrity of sorts in his community, known as the Polo Club. Everyone wanted a “Ron Caster House” and many of them received exactly that.
He was born on March 31, 1962, in Santa Barbara, California, to the late Granvel “Sonny” Byron Caster Jr. and Mary Alice Caster.
Ron is survived by his best friend and wife, Randi Fibus-Caster, who was the love of his life. They met in Boca Raton and married almost 25 years ago. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Alice Caster, of Vail and Santa Barbara, and his sister Michelle Lynn Caster, of Vail.
A celebration of Ron’s life was held at the home of his close friends in Boca Raton on April 5. A second celebration of life will be held later this summer in Santa Barbara, California.
