Vail Daily obituary: Carol Higgins Knight, 1957-2015

Known to her many friends in this area as Carol Anderson, she passed away unexpectedly at her home in Boulder on Oct. 15. She was born March 24, 1957, in Duluth, Minnesota, the youngest of six children of Bardon and Eulalie Higgins.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Knight; daughters Laura Anderson and Molly Anderson, both of Denver; their father, Dennis Anderson, of Edwards; and her five siblings Jim, Eulalie, Mike, David and Barbara.

Carol had a BA in fine arts from California College of Arts and Crafts in Berkeley and a master’s degree in psychology and art therapy from Naropa University in Boulder.

She was a gifted artist, a certified Pilates instructor and enjoyed working as a florist in San Francisco, Edwards, Vail and Boulder.

Carol was an enthusiastic hiker and an excellent swimmer who enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving. She was known for her creative, kind and caring nature, and she will forever be deeply missed by her family and friends.
