Vail Daily obituary: Mary (Mollie) Christensen Rue

Mary (Mollie) Christensen Rue, 70, of Littleton, died Nov. 1.

She is survived by husband Dean Rue, daughter Elizabeth (Liz) Christensen, son Nicholas (Nick) Christensen, grandchildren Kayla and Colin Christensen, sister Elizabeth (Roger) Freeberg, nieces Cynthia Pougiales, Carrie (Mark) LaRue and Ann (Greg) Sorich.

Mollie grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. She had a long career in the sales and marketing profession, mainly in the hotel and communication industries in Colorado. Mollie also was a real estate associate broker in the Vail and Denver metro area.

Mollie was a talented writer of short stories and was a life-long lover of dancing and music. Mollie was passionate about the arts and served on the Fine Arts Committee for the city of Littleton. Mollie always had a smile and the world was a better place when she was in it. She will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends.

A memorial event to honor Mollie’s life will be held in early December for all of her family and friends. Donations can be made to the Town Hall Arts Center in Littleton.
