Vail Daily obituary: Walter Anthony ‘Tony’ Bishop, 1956-2015
July 18, 2015
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Tony Bishop after an unexpected and sudden heart attack.
Tony was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His passion for skiing brought him to the Vail area at the age 27. He fell in love with the valley and the people who live there. And, they fell in love with him. He never left.
In 1999, he formed his company, Mountainview Builders. He was a perfectionist and has left a legacy of beautiful homes. It is no secret in your community of friends that Tony suffered much loss in his business in 2008, and he was just unable to recover from it. He never gave up. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who appreciated his work and offered him words of encouragement. Thank you to those who listened to him in his struggles, and for your understanding. Thank you for your generosity toward him. God bless you all.
Tony was a tireless worker and a most loyal friend. His smile was contagious. We miss him already, but we know we will see him when we get home!
