Obituary: David Wesley Driver, Sept. 11, 1963 – Feb. 7, 2019

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of David Wesley Driver, 55 of Gypsum, Colorado, on February 7, 2019, of multiple medical problems.
He is survived by his daughter, Jordyn Versiellen Driver, and his mother, Versiellen Driver. In addition, he is also survived by his sisters and their husbands, Johanna Noel and DJ (Don) Jensen; Michelle Marie and Steve Edward Slocum along with their children, Steven James Slocum and Jessica Marie/Raul Fergozo.
While David had a short life, it was very full. He was his daughter’s caregiver from her birth until the end of his life. She was born with an extreme incurable medical condition.
He was a union journeyman plumber until moving to Colorado. He was a Master Electrician who became an integral part of Djensen Electric, Inc. He was also a first year instructor with IEC for many years.
He wrote three published books, of which only the first one was circulated. He taught himself the harmonica and sang along with the blues while recently sitting in with local bands. He also mastered the art of wood working. He made many outstanding pieces of furniture.
In addition, he was ranked as a Top Flight darts competitor. David played for numerous A-ranked pool teams. He gave freely to numerous community functions of his time.
A memorial service will be planned by the family in early summer.
