Off the Hill: Bridge Street Lockers offers convenience and comfort
By Tricia Swenson | Off the Hill
Being able to slip out of your ski gear and into something more comfortable in order to enjoy après ski, shopping or dining in town after being on the hill is a priceless experience. Bridge Street Lockers offers the newest lockers in town at their Bridge Street location.Drew and Nick Riley, co-founders of Bridge Street Lockers, grew up in Vail and know what it takes to have a successful day on the hill. When they came up with the idea to turn the former Samana nightclub into lockers they researched the available offerings and implemented the best practices into their product.Drew Riley’s background as an engineer came into play when they were designing the interior of the lockers. “I built a mock locker at our house and was able to efficiently design the interior based on our own needs and from other lockers in town. After working with the architect we developed the full layout of the lockers.”Choose between 3-person or 4-person lockers based on your needs. Boot dryers, hooks for helmets, hangers for jackets as well as an accessories organizer all come standard. Electrical outlets inside each locker are key for recharging your boot heaters and your phone.Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, hot drinks, restrooms and 24-hour access in case you are chasing the powder at another ski area. The response during their first season has been very positive. “We have had many people sign longer agreements already and others who have contacted us saying they will come over to our locker room next year and they tell us we have the best lockers and space in town,” said Riley.Contact them for pricing on lockers for the remainder of this season or reserve a place on the 2017-2018 wait list. Contracts run from September 1st to August 31st. Go to http://www.bridgestreetlockers.com for more information.
