Old stove shows up in wrong place in Gypsum

Eagle Valley Enterprise
Gypsum, CO Colorado

GYPSUM, Colorado a€”Â-The owner of a business on Spring Creek Road in Gypsum wasna€™t pleased to find that somebody had dumped an old kitchen stove on his property. Along with the old stove, however, the same culprits also dumped a large packing box for a new stove. Attached to the packing box was a purchase order from a local big-box store.

The investigating officer contacted the store, where employees were able to track down the purchase order, and supply a name and address of the Gypsum woman who had recently purchased a new stove.

When contacted, that woman said she had recently purchased her stove, and her husband had hauled the old one away. The husband admitted to dumping the old stove.

The man agreed to pick up the litter, and haul it to the landfill. He was charged with trespass and littering.
