Old world barbecue

If you find yourself in the heart of Avon tonight and you're wondering about the exotic aromas permeating the evening air, just follow your nose and experience a true, traditional Old World Barbecue. Tonight, chef Adam at the Blue Plate Restaurant in Avon serves up a whole rotisserie pig, slow roasted over hot coals and served with Austrian-style bread dumplings and fresh cucumber salad. It's a Friday night tradition and there's nothing like it anywhere in the Valley. They'll begin serving a variety of cuts starting at 5 p.m. and continue until it's gone.
