On the Hill: Powder galore at Vail
Vail official report: 7″ new snow
Vail Daily field report: A foot or more in places
Weather: Snowing, sunny, warm, cold, the conditions are changing moment to moment. Crazy day.
Liftline status: Once again, none of the mazes were very full for a powder day
Run of the day: Forever was windblown down to a smooth surface, so the new snow doesn’t have moguls underneath
Breakdown: It just keeps dumping during the closing week. Vail’s received 19 inches of new snow in the last 7 days and you can find all of it in the trees and stash spots. The powder conditions are phenomenal, and the groomers are soft heading for closing weekend.
Snowcast: It should continue off and on, forecasters say.
