On the Hill: Saturday’s Vail ski conditions report with video
Vail official report: 1 inch new snow since 5 a.m. yesterday, 18 inches mid-mountain base, 36 inches total snowfall this season.
Vail Daily field report: No new snow this morning.
Liftline status: Eagle Bahn gondola starting to fill in, nothing on Chair 8.
Weather: Cloudy, with cooler temps today
Breakdown: With Chair 2 and the Avanti run open right at 9 a.m.-today, you’ll have some more ground to cover and another lift to enjoy. The snow on that run is riding hard and fast, but should soften up as it mixes with the natural snow that’s expected to drop today and tonight. People are out enjoying the hill today, but everyone seems to be most excited about what tomorrow could bring.
Snowcast: NOAA says there’s an 80 percent chance for snow tonight, which could bring 10 inches by tomorrow morning. –
