On the Hill: Saturday’s Vail ski report with video
Vail official report: 0″ new snow
Liftline status: Empty in Lionshead before 10 a.m.
Weather: Cloudy but warm with no wind
Breakdown: No new snow for which many were hoping, but it seems most people had a guarded enthusiasm about the forecast and weren’t too disappointed this morning. Right from the first run it’s warm enough for just a long-sleeve and shell, so take advantage of the opportunity and be comfortable while you’re out there. We can’t say enough about Vail’s ability to make this surface and keep it skiable with their impeccable grooming, so we’ll say it again. Get out early for the good groom on any day this season, and you won’t be disappointed.
Snowcast: We’re still hoping for Sunday, but NOAA has actually changed their forecast from 60 percent chance snow to 30 percent chance rain. Yikes. –
