On the Hill: Season ends on a powder day
Vail official report: 13″ new snow
Vail Daily field report: 1-2 feet, depending on where you are, of heavier snow.
Weather: Partly cloudy, sun out at times.
Liftline status: Busy start to the day, things seem to be mellowing out for now but will likely pick back up.Run of the day: Forever
Breakdown: On the closing day of a season that frustrated snowriders at times, it sure is satisfying to end the season on a powder day. With 1-2 feet of new snow and Sun Up/Sun Down bowls open, It’s bound to be one of the best closing day conditions in Vail’s history.
