On the Hill video ski report: More openings, more powder at Vail
Vail official report: 1″ new snow in last 24 hours
Liftline status: Eagle Bahn slight crowd, nothing at Chair 8, 2, 3 or 4 as of-9:30 a.m.
Run of the day: Gladed area between Challenge and Mid Vail Express
Weather: Cold and very sunny
Breakdown: When we get nearly 2 feet of powder in one week, and the whole hill isn’t open, and the weather stays cold, that means every day is a potential powder day as more and more of the ropes are dropped. When ski patrol opens a new run, that run usually has large swaths of untouched pow. Today the ropes were dropped on the gladed area between Challenge and Mid Vail Express – so-the best week of the year continues! Crowd numbers-seem-significantly lower-today as of 9:30 a.m.
