On the Hill video ski report: Snow still powdery at Vail
Brought to you by and the .Vail official report: 0″ new snowWeather: Warmer today, although there’s a few more clouds than yesterday morning. Liftline status: Getting busy in LionsheadRun of the day: Blue Ox was groomedBreakdown: The snow is still soft! Despite abundant sunshine yesterday, it was really cold. That means the roughly 2 feet of powder we had received in the last week or so has stayed soft leading up to this morning, even in the most exposed of areas. But it’s already feeling warmer today; by this time tomorrow we may be dealing with crust but the snow in the north-facing trees, especially those higher in elevation, should stay powdery. Snowcast: There’s some action headed our way, and it may produce snow as soon as this afternoon, forecasters say.
