On the Hill video ski report: Soft snow at Vail
Vail official report: 0″ new snow
Liftline status: Group of about 50 or so gathered at Gondola One which quickly dissipated once the lift started uploading, no lines on 3 and 4 as of 9:20 a.m.
Weather: Cold, but plenty of sun which is bound to warm things up. No wind.
Run of the day: Ramshorn to the Meadows
Breakdown: Vail now has enough snow and enough terrain for everyone to find what they’re looking for. For the softer snow, head into the trees and less-tracked areas. For a nice groomed surface, there’s too much to name – and you won’t have trouble finding it. The rumor among the morning crowd is Chairs 11 and 14 may be open by tomorrow, with Chair 7 and Game Creek Bowl to follow.
Snowcast: NOAA keeps bringing good news. They have now amended the snowcast from Friday to include all day and night Saturday and a slight chance on Thursday night, as well.
