Vail official report: 0 inches new snow in last 24 hours as of 5 a.m.

Vail Daily field report: 2-3 inches new snow as of 9 a.m.

Weather: Partly cloudy, snowing on and off

Liftline status: Not too bad

Breakdown: While liftlines weren’t too bad, the runs themselves were getting crowded on the front side of the mountain this morning as the back side was closed due to heavy winds. A few inches of fresh snow blanket the slopes this morning, making conditions really nice at Vail.

Snowcast: Another quick-moving storm, like today’s storm, will move across the northern half of Colorado on Saturday, reports meteorologist Joel Gratz with opensnow.com.
